Dr. Carnahan is an Assistant professor in Educational Technology Department. Previously he served as an administrator for an online high school. He has published in refereed journals and conference proceedings such as TechTrends, Journal of Communications Media, and Proceedings of the Society for Information Technology & Teacher Education International Conference. He authored the first book on using drones in K12 settings, Drones in Education: Let your students' imaginations soar.
Dr. Carnahan has had a research track that has focused primarily on the use of online and virtual world learning at the K-12 level.
Dr. Carnahan has been teaching face-to-face, online, and hybrid courses for many years. He has taught at Indiana University of Pennsylvania, Central PA Digital Learning Foundation Cyber Charter School, and most recently New Jersey City University. His teaching experience includes courses on topics including: technology use in the K-16 classroom and corporate workplace, eLearning, educational technology, educational technology leadership, statistics.
